Englewood, CO- Nielsen Media Research and NetRatings Inc. announced a 135.3 percent increase in traffic in December to the New York based rebate shopping site, CyberRebate.com. Figures from WebTrends show that the 400,000 user sessions recorded in October doubled in November and doubled again in December with 1.6 million user sessions. The number of sales transactions received increased by 400%.
Joel Granik, CEO and Chairman of the Board of CyberRebate.com, attributes this growth to several causes. "The rebate concept lends itself to word of mouth advertising", Granik says, "and we also have a well-targeted advertising campaign, excellent customer service and speedy delivery of our products". CyberRebate.com COO, Joseph Lichter, believes that the holiday season only influenced the surge slightly. "Fortunately, our sales did not drop off after the holidays. In fact, January was our second best month in the history of the company", Lichter says. Granik and Lichter expected the growth and planned very carefully. "We increased our product line ten-fold since September, ramped up our customer service department as well as our fulfillment department," Granik states. "Net Works Communications Corporation played a big part by implementing a full-functioning web based email application and ensuring that their servers were able to keep our site up and running." Net Works Communications is a leading Internet solutions provider in Englewood, Colorado who hosts and manages the Web site. Lichter adds, "We have a unique relationship with Net Works Communications. We act as partners in defining issues and implementing solutions." Dave Carlson, President of Net Works Communications, says that CyberRebate.com is an amazing company to be working with. "The rapid growth that CyberRebate.com is experiencing makes for a very exciting and fast-paced environment for us", Carlson says. CyberRebate.com was launched in September of last year after renaming their company from The Rebate Company and re-designing their Web site. CyberRebate.com offers products that are sold with mail-in-rebates, most so large that the items are free after rebate. Net Works Communications, located in the Denver area, helps companies and organizations develop unique and profitable Internet strategies through Web site design, integrated marketing, electronic commerce, database management and integration, and hosting services.
